Cheap Car Rental Dubai: Prices, Deposits and Total Costs
By Lets Go Car Rental
Compare affordable Dubai rental cars from AED 99 per day, then check deposits, mileage and extras to understand the cost of your stay.
Updated 9 October 2026. Prices below are a snapshot of the LetsGo fleet on this date, subject to availability and confirmation for your rental dates.
Start with a car that fits your trip
A low daily rate is useful only if the car fits your passengers, bags and plans. For a couple travelling light, the JAC S3 is a sensible starting point. A family needing a third row should compare the Mitsubishi Xpander, then check how much luggage space remains with every required seat in use.
These are self-drive rentals. The listed seating includes the driver, and the price does not include a chauffeur. See the current rental fleet for availability enquiries and the latest displayed prices.
| Example car | Daily rate | Weekly rate | Monthly rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jac S3 2023 | AED 99 | AED 399 | AED 1,499 |
| Jac J7 2023 | AED 149 | AED 599 | AED 1,799 |
| Mitsubishi Xpander 2023 | AED 149 | AED 699 | AED 2,099 |
| Mitsubishi ASX 2025 | AED 149 | AED 749 | AED 2,099 |
| Citroen C5 Aircross 2025 | AED 199 | AED 899 | AED 3,799 |
Daily, weekly and monthly figures are separate listed rental rates. Confirm the exact rental period, mileage allowance, VAT treatment and extras in your quote. A monthly figure should not be assumed to cover every calendar month or an unlimited number of kilometres.
Work out the rental charge before comparing the total
For a five-day JAC S3 booking, five times the displayed AED 99 daily rate is AED 495. The listed weekly rate is AED 399. That is an AED 96 difference in the rental-rate comparison, but ask whether the weekly package is available for your dates and what happens if you return on day five. It is not an automatic entitlement to a discounted five-day booking or an early-return refund.
For a longer stay, compare the full quoted period using our daily, weekly and monthly rental guide. The cheapest advertised daily price and the cheapest total quote are not always the same choice.
The deposit is separate from the rental price
Each car in the table currently lists an AED 2,000 security deposit. This replaces the old zero-deposit wording in this guide. A deposit is security against charges under the agreement; it is different from an advance rental payment used to secure the booking.
Ask how the deposit is taken, what can be deducted and when it is released. Do not treat it as money available to spend during the trip. The rental terms describe the credit-card requirement and deposit conditions. Confirm the arrangement for your booking in writing, including any specifically approved waiver.
What belongs in an itemised quote?
- Rental period: the collection and return dates and times, plus the charge for returning late.
- Mileage: the kilometres included for the whole booking, the excess-kilometre rate and whether allowances differ between packages.
- Insurance: the included cover, excess, exclusions and the price and effect of any optional additional cover. Included insurance does not mean every damage cost is covered.
- Tax and road costs: whether the quoted total includes VAT, and how tolls, parking, fines and any related administration charges are settled.
- Handover and extras: the confirmed delivery and collection arrangement, additional drivers and any requested child seat. Do not assume every extra is included.
- Fuel: the recorded collection level and return requirement. Allow for the fuel you use as part of your trip budget.
Keep the refundable security amount separate from your expected rental spending. For example, the AED 495 daily-rate calculation above plus an AED 2,000 deposit means planning for AED 2,495 in rental payment and security before any other confirmed amounts. That is a cash-planning illustration, not a final invoice or a statement that the deposit will be charged rather than held.
Choose the size before the badge
The S3 and J7 listings have five seats including the driver. The ASX and C5 Aircross also have five seats; a different body style does not add a sixth place. For a closer look at those two SUVs, read our C5 Aircross vs ASX comparison.
The seven-seat Xpander gives you another seating option, but do not assume seven occupants and all their full-size suitcases fit together. Send the number of adults, children, child seats and bags before choosing. Include suitcase dimensions and folded stroller size when space is tight.
Before you pay
Send your dates, approximate driving distance, delivery address and driver-document details. Ask the team to confirm eligibility, the chosen car and the complete price. Read the cancellation and early-return terms before paying: a cheaper long booking can be poor value if your plans change and unused days are not refundable.
Frequently asked questions
What is the lowest listed daily price?
On 9 October 2026, the available JAC S3 listings start at AED 99 per day. Prices and availability must be confirmed for your dates.
Are these cars available without a deposit?
The example cars in this guide each list an AED 2,000 deposit. Do not assume a waiver; ask the team to confirm any exception in writing before payment.
Is a weekly rental always cheaper?
No. Compare the actual car and period, including mileage, extras and early-return conditions. A lower package rate is useful only when its terms suit your booking.
